the location was acceptable and near the underground station
the gym was small and lacked proper equipment i expected more for a hotel of this supposed caliber thin walls meant i could hear noise from adjacent rooms it disrupted my rest i found that irritating

convenient spot!
friendly staffquiet room
the reception staff were very friendly and professional. the room was spotlessly clean and quiet at night. the toiletries were nice and i liked that you could get extras and coffee from the basement. this worked very well for me.

poor soundproofinguncomfortable gap
I thought the room could have been better soundproofed. I heard noise from the corridor at odd hours, which wasn't great when trying to sleep , and I woke up at 2 am because people talked loudly. The double bed wasn't a true double . It was two single beds pushed together , so there was an uncomfortable gap in the middle.

The location shone. It sat close to Barbican station. The room I had included universal charging ports, even USB ports. Staff at reception gave me a free comb. I lost mine.
Soundproofing proved not great. I heard everything from corridor at odd hours. I was woke at 2 am by noisy talks in the corridor.

the power outage affected only my apartment. i was also asked to move my things without any help from the staff. this relocation took three hours of my time.. i requested the original rate for an extra night, and they finally agreed, but only after my demand.
